Scott Industrial Systems will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Friday, July 31st to celebrate a major renovation to their Dayton headquarters. This public event invites customers, employees, city leaders, and community members to commemorate the 18,000 square foot expansion.
“Our company focus is helping our customers optimize the performance of their fluid power systems and electronic controls,” said Scott Industrial President Christina Logan. “This expansion allows us continue to increase our ability to serve our customers. Scott represents some of the largest fluid power manufacturers in the industry and we stock $6 million in products to fulfill our customer’s immediate requirements.”
A larger shop area strengthens hydraulic repair capabilities and opens the necessary floor space to take on more complicated engineering projects. “We assemble and 100% test cast iron and aluminum gear pumps as well as mobile valve assemblies and can ship within 24 hours in most cases. We provide complete engineered systems including power units and control panels,” said Logan.
Other improvements from the renovations include updated office spaces, a larger, more modern conference room, an improved employee break room area, and a gym with locker rooms. The renovations were completed by John Construction LLC of West Milton.
Along with the building additions, Scott Industrial has added new jobs in the region. According to Logan, “We doubled our engineering staff and added an engineering lab to facilitate programming electronic control systems. With this expansion and added staff, we are poised for growth.”
Founded in 1948, Scott Industrial moved to their current location at 4433 Interpoint Boulevard in 1996. They are a distributor of fluid power products and equipment used in manufacturing. Their six-state territory covers Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
The company has around 85 employees, 60 within the Dayton area. Along with the Dayton office, they operate a warehouse and office in Indianapolis, IN and sales offices in Huron, OH and Louisville, KY. Scott Industrial is actively seeking to hire new outside sales representatives in Dayton, Toledo, and Louisville.
The City of Dayton will assist in a ribbon cutting for Scott Industrial Systems on July 31st at 11 a.m. Food and building tours will be available following the ceremony.
